It was over 45 years ago that My Mom an Dad took all of us kids (6) on a summer vacation that we all still talk about.I always wanted to take my own family on such a vacation.Well I was able to take My 2 boys (they Paid for them self) on a similar fun paced trip.2400 miles on the ground later Evan and I left Tim at airport for him to return the next day.Evan took about 675 pictures ,my total was just under 3800 and I'm sure Tim took as many as me.but we had a great time.First day the Grand Canyon Second Day Grand Canyon in the morning,then towards Page AZ, Horseshoe bend,Glen Canyon Dam.Third day on to Mt Zion National Park, Hover Dam,Vegas Forth Day on to Mono Lake then Yosemite, Toga Pass was closed due to snow the night before,we had to travel further north towards Lake Tahoe,at our third pass we were able to cross the Mt.Then traveled back south to enter Yosemite and our lodging at 11:30 Pm,long day for Tim who drove.We left Yosemite after a 2 day stay towards Pismo Beach for the nights stay,then a a drive back to Phoenix AZ through Palm Springs.I really forgot so much from when i was a child,and most of all how beautiful a country we live in.We are so blessed to have this National Park system to enjoy.
